2009

The 2009 season started in February when six boys and six girls took part in the Hoërskool Nelspruit Tennis Tournament. Uplands played against Waterkloof, Affies, Westvalia, Hoërskool Middelburg as well as Hoërskool Nelspruit. The girls ended fourth (out of eight schools) and the boys ended eighth.

The Lowveld Tennis League is currently being played and Uplands has entered three boys’ and three girls’ teams in the league. Some of the result thus far:
Uplands 1st Girls beat Penryn College.
2nd and 3rd Girls beat Penryn 2nd and 3rd
2nd and 3rd Boys beat Penryn College
Uplands 1st Girls beat Bergvlam 1st
Uplands 1st Boys beat Hoërkool Lydenburg.
Uplands 1st Boys lost to Hoërskool Nelspruit

These past June/July holidays seven boys, seven girls and Mr and Mrs Pienaar had the privilege of going on a Tennis Tour to the UK. They played four matches and even had the privilege of going to Wimbledon (Tennis Tour information).
